Jr. Improv and Sketch

A beloved class at BAL that allows students to work together for the sake of fun, play, and laughter! Over the course of this workshop, actors will hone their ensemble skills and learn the basics of improvisation and sketch comedy. Students will enjoy and master numerous improv games and use these skills to build funny and imaginative worlds while also applying it to their personal lives. Improv is a listening art form where students will learn how to share their voices and make room for others. We will generate the silliest ideas, create funny situations and settings, identify absurdities, write and perform our own sketches. Students who have participated in Jr. Improv and Sketch can return to the class and continue to build and develop their skills.
